Overcoming MRLs as barriers to trade focus of MRL workshop

Harmonization efforts by US EPA and insights into consumer trends in China are two of the topics in th annual MRL Workshop organized by California Specialty Crops Council. The June 5-6 event will be held Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Deadline to register is May 30.

 

Ms. Lois Rossi, US EPA, will outline support of US trade through the agency’s MRL harmonization effort DuPont, will present a look at Chinese agriculture and consumers tastes in an expanding economy.

 

The speaker line-up also includes trade experts, regulators and registrants who will address MRL devel Taiwan, Korea, China, Canada, the EU and other export destinations for US grown fruits, nuts and veg needs and MRL strategies will be highlighted in a panel discussion. Representatives from US EPA, USD and commodity groups will be present.

 

The workshop is designed for growers, PCAs, commodity groups, packer-shippers.
